bbyIRISE began its journey the first time my husband struck me, debased me, humiliated me, ostracized me, controlled me, berated me, abused my mind, body, and spirit. Through this pain and the tremendous power of God, it forged this path that is now a call to SERVE!

bbyIRISE Ministry is a non-profit ministry for women founded on the teachings of Jesus Christ. Our core value is to SERVE. Our purpose is to STRENGTHEN, EMPOWER, RENEW, VALUE, and ENCOURAGE you in the knowledge that you are fearfully and wonderfully made!

We will meet you in the brokenness of spirit and mind to the battered body and soul; it is our goal to uplift you, encourage you, mend your brokenness, give your battered body rest, and help you RISE through the knowledge of who you are in Christ. We will not judge, condemn, defame, abuse, or misuse you.

We are committed to becoming a voice for the voiceless, providing a place of refuge, and watching the inner beauty of you unfold into the authentic woman God has called you to be. So, as you open your heart within this site, I pray that you will take the time to rest, relax and allow Holy Spirit to minister to you.

My Testimony

I was a victim of domestic violence for 15 years and believed that that life was everyday life. It was common to go to work with bruises and black eyes. It was usual to feel frightened and alone. It was typical to ask permission to breathe. It was not and is not acceptable.

My life story has chartered a course that is the embodiment of many women. I was the victim, the defendant, the prisoner, the woman with Personality Disorder, PTSD, Severe Depression, and suicidal. I was the woman who was burdened with guilt and a life fragmented and in pieces.

But God, in His abundant grace and mercy, strengthened me, empowered me, renewed me, valued me, and encouraged me. Through his ministering of me and reaching from eternity into time saved me. So, it is by and through Holy Spirit, Jesus Christ, and our Father that I am here today. Therefore, I must extend a hand in time and reach out to you, come, if you are heavily laden, hurting, and need a friend. bbyIRISE Ministry is here to SERVE.
